Patent Summary for CN222233447U: Coil protection case

I. Abstract and Technical Field

This utility model discloses a Coil Protection Shell (or case), which relates to a protection device for the inductance coil in an inductor, typically used in the photovoltaic energy storage field.

The primary configuration of the protective shell is a single body (1) designed with a variety of geometric features:

A round hole (2) in the center for the center post/magnetic core.

An annular protruding frame (3) at the edge of the round hole.

Straight flanges (5) at the left and right ends of the body.

Concave grooves (4) at the upper and lower ends of the body.

The purpose of this precisely structured shell is to achieve the integral assembly and accurate fixation of the various inductor components (coil, center post, side posts, and return magnetic core), thereby simplifying the manufacturing and assembly process and improving product rigidity.

II. Background and Description of the Invention

A. Technical Problems of Prior Art

Current electric sensors (inductors) used in photovoltaic energy storage typically consist of an inductor body (side column, middle column magnetic core, coil, and return magnetic core) placed in an aluminum shell and filled with heat-conducting silica gel. The existing structure suffers from several drawbacks:

Inaccurate Positioning: The distance between the inductor body and the outer aluminum shell cannot be accurately positioned, which negatively impacts both the heat dissipation effect and the required insulation.

Poor Component Fixation: Each part within the inductor body assembly cannot be accurately fixed to each other.

Manufacturing Difficulty: These issues increase the difficulty of the inductor's manufacturing and subsequent glue-filling assembly process.

B. Solution and Configuration

The invention provides a coil protection shell (body 1) that acts as an integrated skeleton to assemble and fix all internal inductor components:

The shell (body 1) has the following features designed for component placement (as shown in Figure 3 of the patent):

Round Hole (2) and Annular Protruding Frame (3): The center post magnetic core (6), which the coil (7) is sleeved onto, is inserted into the round hole (2). Two of these coil protection shells are used, one at each end of the center post (6). The annular protruding frame (3) likely aids in guiding or securing the coil/center post.

Concave Grooves (4): The side post magnetic core (8) (or side column) is assembled into the concave groove (4) at the upper and lower ends of the body (1).

Straight Flanges (5): The return magnetic core (9) (or yoke/return path) is assembled into the straight flanges (5) at the left and right ends of the body (1).

The resulting structure allows the side column, middle column magnetic core, coil, and return magnetic core of the inductor to be integrally assembled.

C. Beneficial Effects

The utility model achieves the following beneficial effects:

Simplified Assembly: It simplifies the assembly and fixation among the various magnetic components of the inductor.

Improved Efficiency and Rigidity: It improves the assembly efficiency and the overall rigidity of the product.

Facilitated Assembly and Fixation: It solves the problem of fixing and positioning of the inductor body and its components.

III. Claims

The single main claim defines the geometry of the coil protective shell:

Claim 1: A coil protective shell, characterized in that: there is a body (1), a round hole (2) is set in the center of the body (1), an annular protruding frame (3) is set at the edge of the round hole (2), a straight flange (5) is set on the left and right ends of the body and on the other side opposite to the annular protruding frame (3), and a concave groove (4) is set at the upper and lower ends of the body.
